Nice review! I've got nearly the same 323Ci with Xenons but w/o PP. Whenever I'm in Bay Area traffic, the Step tranny lets me just relax and go with the flow instead of constantly dealing with the gearbox. Yet, it's still sporty with plenty of punch. I think the car is a technological work-of-art, and the Step makes it just that much better. You'd be nuts to get a manual gearbox in NY traffic!
