I'm in my mid 20's as well. I've been to FMW twice to look at new cars, and both times I've been ignored. Even when I asked for help from the sales people, they tell me they are busy and will be with me shortly, after a 2 hour wait, still no help.

I had to bring my '96 318is in for service a few times, and since FMW was near my office, I decided to bring it there. Both times they were unable to fix the problem, and broke other things while they were at it.

The worst was when they had to replace the fuel sensor (fuel gauge wasn't working), they forgot to release the pressure in the fuel system before they took the tank off and spewed gas everywhere, including the HOT exhaust system and guess what?!? yup! set my car on fire!

They had to keep the car for an extra week while all the wires, and rubber components under the car that had melted wait for parts to come in.

They were very reluctant to give me a loaner, and when they finally did, it had mud all over the seat, and old gum caked onto the shifter. oh and best of all, it had an empty tank of gas. I had to limp down the street to get gas for it.

I would not recommend them for service at all!

: : Hello guys,

: : I've been waiting to order a 323ci for several months, now I finally decided to get it going. I'm thinking to order a 323ci with black/sand/SP/PP/Xenon/HK/in-dash CD/heated seat ...

: : Can anyone of you nice people in this board recommend me local dealers in MA area ? What prices shall I expect for a 323ci these days ?? If it's too expensive, I'll probably order it in carorder.com, good idea ???

: : Any useful advices are greatly appreciated ! Thankyou \(^o^)/

: : P.S. Any MA dealer reading this are welcome to response ... thanx

: My advice, FOREIGN MOTORS WEST in Natick all the way. I'm a 20 year old male and on my second BMW. Getting treated with respect when walking into a BMW dealership in this area has been few and far between, but FMWest has always been curteous and forthright. I bought my first BMW, (95 M3 CPO) from Newport Imports after about a 12 month search . Mostly I bought my car from there simply because of my salesman, who was in his mid 20's and had gone through the exact same problem of trying to buy a BMW and being scoffed at by salesmen everywhere he went. The rest of the dealership however was unimpressive. When my salesman left to go to another job, I had no allegiance to the dealership. My mother was now in love with my car and wanted her own BMW so I did most of the leg work for her, setting up test drives and such. I contacted and visited almost every dealership in the MA area. FMWest was by far the best at being polite and keeping their promises. Also they had every car my mother wanted to test drive, from a 540i 6spd to an M3 Convertible. My M3 was totaled in October and My mother's salesman, Peter Rooney, was able to locate a 323Ci for me within 2 days, with every option I wanted, in my first choice color combination, and had it shipped to the dealership with no extra cost to me. My mother and I ended up taking delivery of our cars in the same week, even though she had to wait three months for hers on order. All in All, the buying experience was great, and so far the servicing has been awesome also, (needed a new moonroof switch). Overall I would stay away from BMW Gallery and Peabody BMW after having been totally ignored and lied to by both on seperate occasions. Herb Chambers I have no real experience with, Inksip tends to be a little snotty and Newport doesnt have much of a selection. Hope this helps a little and obviously these are all just my opinions and experiences, sorry about the length.
