I've also heard this about the radio reception.. I have the HK as well and my radio reception is WAY better than before... in my old car.. and better than several cars I've been in since I got my bimmer. Not sure why it's like this for you guys. I live in NJ and listen to mostly NY stations... pick them up perfectly!

: Strange that you said the radio reception was horrid. In mine (and a non-HK car I test drove), the reception is superb. If I were you, I would ask the dealer to take a look at it. Perhaps your antenna is not hooked up properly or something. Congrats on getting the car.

: : Got my 2000 323Ci yesterday and I've been driving it around all over the city. Here are my first impressions on everything I got, enjoy!
: : Engine: Smoooooooooooooooooth. Gives me enough power to make some good maneuvers and feel pretty sporty. For everyday driving, it' as smooth as an engine can get. But as an added bonus, if you push it, the smoothness turns to bursts of power. I would compare the power to the Nissan Maxima on steroids. I guess there are some spots where I would like more power but this is more than just a normal ride. When I floor it, I get a good rush. I wouldn't get the 328 but maybe the 330 would be worth it (although I wouldn't be able to afford it).
: : Transmission: I got the step and I'm a little disappointed in it. Although its cool to be able to shift the gears myself when needed, it lacks the stick feel. Don't get me wrong, I'm VERY glad I got the step. I just thought the step would be a little more responsive. For now it just seems to shift like the automatic but only when I tell it to. I find myself in 'sports' mode most of the time. One real cool thing about it is to be able to downshift when I need it to. Talk about a rush that you wouldn't get in a standard automatic. I was gonna get a stick but changed my mind at the last minute. The reason was that I felt the stick is VERY notchy, almost like a Ford Mustang and the clutch was too deep. In bumper to bumper traffic (90% of the time in New York City), that would have been a nightmare.
: : Exterior: Nothing to say. Simply the best looking car for the price.
: : Interior: The leatherette is so awesome, I'm feeling quite good about myself for not getting the leather. Before I got the car, I was wondering if I would regret not putting in the 1500 bucks to get the leather. But after sitting in it, this is a no brainer. The leatherette is so awesome, I would probably pick it over the leather even if they cost the same.
: : Tires: It was 19 degrees yesterday and 29 degrees today. Yesterday was dry with ice patches and today it snowed/rained a little bit. The stock tires do the job very well. The only thing I would change on them are the rims. But, the sports package rims are nasty lookin in my opinion as well as a bunch of women that I showed them to. Also, New York weather is pretty wet and that last thing I want is to spend another grand on winter tires that I would not want when the weather is dry. If the sports package gave me a choice of rims and tires, then that would have been a no brainer. I'll think about getting aftermarket rims some other time, but the all season tires need to stay.
: : Stock Stereo: It sounds crystal clear up to the point that I raise the volume to a 'loud but comfortable' range. Any higher than that, the bass will make the woofers rattle a bit. Not the best stereo set but the HK is certainly not worth 700 bucks. Radio reception is HORRID.
: : Suspension: Stiff but very responsive.
: : Heated Seats: Worth every penny and a few more. Probably one of the best 'alternative' features of the car.
: : I guess that's it. Hope this was informative.
