I test drove a 323Ci step and didn't like it one bit. No, sir, not one bit.

But, I am EXTREMELY biased. I tend to like and favor sticks more than automatics. Especially in a sporty car like the 3-series BMW's.

When I was test driving the STEP, it just didn't feel the same as a real stick. But, I guess it's not supposed to. As an AUTOMATIC, though, it's pretty good. Good kick from a dead stop, smooth shifting patterns.

But it still ain't no stick. Rowing through the gears is just something that can't be duplicated with any type of clutchless shifter.
