Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a CD Writer and learned that a couple of manufacturers (e.g., Sony, Mitsumi, Plextor) support the following format/standard:
"CD TEXT" - Philip´s standard for encoding disc and track data on audio CDs. Basically, if a song is recorded on CD Player with CD TEXT format, the song name will be displayed on supported CD Players.

It's sort of similar to RDS radios which display station names and name of the music being played. Since "RDS" is
being displayed on BMW in-dash CD players, I am thinking that it should also display song name when CD is playing,
which was recorded with "CD TEXT" standard.

What do you think? Has anyone actually tried to burn their
own CDs with CD TEXT, and then played back on BMW's cd player? Do you think it will work?

Thanks,

Alex M
