Currently, the S-02 is the Potenza butt-kicking,
take-no-prisoners max performance tire. For example,
the Potenza S-02 is original equipment on the Porsche
911 Turbo.

In the dry, the pertormance of the S-02 gets better
with wear. However. with wear the tire's performance
in the wet diminishes. To counter that problem,
Bridgestone has developed the S-02 Pole Position.
While still governed by the laws of physics, as the tire
wears its wet-weather capability is maintained for a
longer pediod of time. Although the tread patterns are
similar, the Pole-Position uses technology developed
for Formula 1, specifically Long Link Carbon. The
Potenza S-02 is covered by Bridgestones Platinum
Pact Warranty. UTQG 180 AA A

These tires are phenomenal. They make the car significantly quieter than the OEM Conti's, and the handling is well beyond what I expected; I can pitch the car around a
corner in a way thay would have been a guaranteed case of oversteer before, and t hese tires just hold on without a sqeak. They don't feel like the sidewall is quite as stiff,
but hey, it's like complaining that the stack of $20's someone gave you have wrinkles in them.

Simply Awesome. Everytime it rains I feel like Mika Hakkenin!!

I switched from OEM Michelin MX3's to the Bridgestones S-02 Pole Positions based on the advice of the Tire Rack and your tire test results. I am very pleased with the
ride, comfort, and wet weather performance of these tires, but disappointed in the dry traction. It does not feel like it has anywhere near the grip of the Michelins, although I
have not had it on a track yet to tests it's limits. These tires do not provide me with the confidence I felt with the Michelins.

I don't know why the SO2PP gets so knocked on dry performance. The MXX3 (what most M3 drivers consider it's main competition) has slightly better turn in, but the
softer nature of the SO2 makes it feel as though it has much better grip. They are both good tires, and it would take a driver of extreme talent and awareness to be able to
really compare one or another.
