those quoted prices are very reasonable. i got quoted $1250 for BOTH (includes install)
also if the dealer installs them for you i think they would be under warranty as well but Not under warranty if you install yourself.
: I have a 323Ci coming later this year, and dealer is quoting $600 for CD changer installed on left side of trunk, and $300 for alarm installed. I know I can buy parts only for less, thanks to this board, but for those who have done the installations, is it worth the extra cost to have the dealer do it? I estimate I'll be paying equivalent of $90 - $95 for the CD installation, and $65 - $70 for the alarm after subtracting out parts and shipping cost from Pacific or Cutter parts departments. Doing a CD installation was a piece of cake on a 528, but I think the situation is different on the 323Ci with panels and all. Don't know about the alarm, but think I may still have to pay a dealer to program it if I do the install myself, right? Any thoughts from those who have done it considering the quoted installed prices?
