Ford has been interested in BMW for at least a year. These rumors started floating around a year ago, just after I had placed the order for my car. If the merger/acquisition had actually gone through, then I would have not bought the car...

Similarly, if it goes through now, then I'll cancel my order for the E46 M3, sell my 328i, and buy a truly German car, making sure that the profits of that deal go back to Germany, not to Detroit. Maybe a 911, or an RS4?
