SULEV vehicles are only available in California. I believe even the Honda Insight is classified as a ULEV vehicle outside CA. The new Altima is available as one, also. The reason for this is because SULEV engines require the low sulpher gasoline that is only sold in California. The sulpher content in gasoline sold outside of CA is much higher, and will foul up the catalytic converter with repeated use, making it just a ULEV, or worse, I think. It kinda makes one wonder about what would happen if someone from CA with an SULEV car took a cross country road trip. They'd probably have to get their catalytic converter cleaned or something like that to restore it back to SULEV levels.
