: Hardware:
: PPI AMP 440 Watts (?) w/ 5 Channels
: Boston Ac. Component (front) Coaxial (rear)
: JL 10" Sub Speaker/Wedge Box.
: OK....the installation went fairly well, though I'm going to take it back to the shop to get some fine tuning on the system.
: Overall:
: I can now hear triangles and chimes on some of my favorite songs which I couldn't hear before! Big Diff....also, replacing my OLD Self-powered Bazooka Tube with this JL audio, gives the car a much more heavy, though not too heavy, clean, tight bass response.
: The staging and imaging is excellent now, sitting in the drivers seat, it sounds like your in a concert and you can almost pin point where the music is coming from (this is of course, if you're listening to a CD, on radio, we all know now bad the reception can get at times).
: Problems:
: Total was 1100, I wonder if I could have gotten a better deal going with some "other amp/speaker setup".
: ALSO, there is some line noise in the radio now....but actually, it seems to accentuate the Turbine like in-line 6 of the car! hehe, just kidding, really, its not bad or noticable at all...and I plan to bring that up to my installer and have them remove it, if not...I could live with it.
: I'll have pictures and a full write up soon!
: BTW, now, the car feels "more" like what a BMW should be....sweet sounds from the engine and the sound system, only for about 400 more than the Harmon Kardon system-though I LOVE the HK DSP, great system too.
: That's it for now...
