AFAIK, you have until 10k miles to decide and it is $399. I'm getting close to 10k (just passed 8k) and have to make a decision soon. Since it looks like inspection I is covered but inspection II is much later (and wouldn't be covered even with the full maint extension), I'm not sure what the extension really buys. I suppose if I wear through break pads or kill the clutch between 36k miles and 48k miles, it would be worth it...otherwise, I don't see it.
