: I absolutely love the look that the aluminum trim gives off with black leather in a E46. Did BMW leave any similarities in their design from the E36 to the E46 so that the trim would be compatible. Or will I have to venture in to the world of aftermarket products to get the look I am searching for?

: Thanks,
: James

I don't know about the dash aluminum trim, but BMW makes aluminum (plastic) trim pieces for the E36 to replace the black trim around all the window buttons, a chrome handbrake button, and chrome door buttons. I put them on my M3 and they looked great.
