I transferred with my company last year from Los Angeles to New Jersey. I didn't see the bill, but the relocation company used an outfit called Dependable Auto Shippers. Two cars were shipped at different times due to my own personal logistics: a 1996 VW GTIVR6 and a 1988 BMW 528e. Both cars took about a week to be shipped across the country. The VW was delivered by a tow truck to my house in Princeton after it was dropped off in Edison NJ. The BMW arrived on a flat-bad truck. Both cars remained undamaged throughout the shipping process. I was very impressed with Dependable Auto Shippers, you may want to give them a call to find out pricing.

PS-The VW gets traded in in about 4 weeks for a Y2K 323i! Can't wait. Keeping the 528e though. It has 135,000 miles and everything still works and it's fun to drive. Of course, the engine has been completely rebuilt by now, but I love that classic body style!
