Incease hp via spark plugs (archive)

I have a 323Ci and I've heard that you can actually increase the hp in your car via good spark plugs? Is this true? If so, what is possibily the best spark plugs that you can get for the 323Ci? Thank you for your help. I am new to cars and trying to learn as much as I can from this board!
