Sure, take out old worn out plugs, replace w/new (archive)

When most people buy some new "gee-whiz" quadruple electrode titanium tip carbide insulator gold plated spark plugs, they can become convinced that they work because they are replacing old plugs.

If BMW could get more hp our of a cheap set of new sparkplugs, with no big drawbacks (such as disintigrating plugs destroying the engine, or short life) then they would do it, wouldn't they? Why go to something expensive like VANOS when you could get it for free another way?
