: : : I havn't done this upgrade yet, I have a 323Ci comming in at the end of May. Total cost $1200 for intake and computer upgrade. I read an article in Car and Driver (Sept. '99 I think) that tested a 328 with a Dinan chip. There wasn't any noticable difference in in 0-60 times or 1/4 mile times. But in passing tests (30-50), (50-70), there was a difference. Also, without the chip they couldn't hit 60mph in 2nd gear, and they could with the chip. So I think it should be worth it, extra passing power and less lag when AC in on. Just my 2 cents, no flamers please.
