Wheel Cleaner for Brake Dust (archive)

I just bought a spray bottle of a Castrol "all wheel" cleaning product. The good news is that it does a very good job of removing brake dust and grime. The bad news is that it causes a discoloration on the tire sidewalls that looks like a scuff. After checking the archives, I see positive comments on Meguiars, P21S and EagleOne. Can anyone comment if these discolor tires?
