H-K speakers good?bad? (archive)

Just got done test driving a 323i with the base 10 speaker stereo. I thought is sounded pretty weak. Not that clear and distorted alot at moderate to high volumes. I listened to the H-K speaker upgrades. The H-K speakers did not distort as much and seemed to handle bass a lot better than the stock speakers. I am not an audiophile by any means. I was wondering what people who bought the H-K speaker upgrade thought of them after living with them for a while. I they worth $675? has anyone installed aftermarket speakers in the 323i?
