Well, the installation of the total system is not finished yet, but I thought I would go ahead and show a few photos of what has been done so far. The pics show the installation of the Dynaudio System 220MKII component set in the front door of my 323Ci. The installer made new ABS brackets that attach the speakers to the door using the factory screw locations and screws. Dynamat was used where the bracket meets to speakers, as well as part of the door directly behind the speaker (not shown in the picture I have taken). The speakers are mounted very tightly-they do not move at all. Speaker depth is not a problem at all with this set (depth is around 2.5" for the MW150). Besides the time it took to make the ABS brackets, this was a straightforward installation.Since the rest of the system is not yet installed, I have not been able to hear what the Dynaudio system sounds like in this car. Construction of the sealed box for the Boston Acoustics Pro Series 10.4LF will start tomorrow, then installation of the Peripheral VEN 4 line converter and amplifiers. The installer is hoping he can finish by late tomorrow, but he promises that the car will at least be ready by the weekend. Pictures of the process are being taken while I am not there. After everything is completed I will post all of the pictures and try to give a write up of the system. I know I have been constantly checking this board on stereo install information, so I am sure there are others that will find this useful. BTW, the shop doing the work is Sound Advice in Laurel, Mississippi by Michael who is the part owner. Feel free to e-mail me for any information.
