You need to take the car to the dealer and have them program it into the car and key memory system.

: : : My 99 328i does not have the factory offered alarm. Is it possible to get the lights to blink or the horn to sound when locking the doors using the remote on the key. It's annoying having to watch for the door lock buttons to go down when walking away from the car to confirm that the car received the signal.
