With every joy comes a little pain. Bimmers are notorious for the brake dust issue. I just keep a simple outlook on the issue: I just scrub them once a week when I give my baby its bath, and I don't really worry about the build up during the week. Yeah, I know the wheels lose that stunning brillance, but for such a great car its not too much to complain about.

A couple things to note, however. I have Star 43 type wheels so these puppies take no time at all to clean up. I don't envy anyone with with those highly spoked wheels you see on older Bimmers, or some 5 and 7 series cars. Also, keep after the dust! If you don't make a point of routinely getting this crap off, it tends to bake on over time and can turn into a pain in the rear end. You've all seen the cars I'm talking about; those Bimmers whose wheels look as black as night.
