It happended to me once, the light went
off a week later. I wasn't sure if this was the cause, so went to the dealer. He reset the computer, and said - that it was the gas cap.


This is pretty bad of BMW to have such a lousy design - I think this is bad engineering. If such a thing happens, the light should go off immediately and reset immediately once the problem is fixed. If their computer cannot handle this thing, then they shouldn't even try to support this feature (a no fearure is better than having a bad implementation of this feature)
