: On delivery I asked my salesman about the tire pressures of my 2000 323i pp (16" tires), and he assured me they were all set correcly.

: Using my top-of-the-line Digital Accutire gauge, I found the front tires to be set the same as the rear tires, all at 36 psi. The drivers side label and manual says the front tire pressure should be between 29 psi and 33 psi max..

: When I checked the spare I found it to be 47 psi. 41 psi is the maximum the rear tire should be, 33 min.. Was my dealer doing the right thing over-inflating three of my five tires?

: All tests were done after the car had been sitting in a 73 deg. garage all day.
