There's no way someone else can answer this question for you unless they know every detail of your life. Are you married? Planning on children? Where do you want your kids to go to college? Bought a house yet? How much do you have in the bank/invested? You get the idea.

This is a personal decision, and they say people spend based on their expected lifetime earnings, not on their current salary. For example, a young doctor will more likely get the bimmer on a $50k salary than a someone who's profession might top out at $50k, even though the two people make the same amount.

So, the question is, how comfortable are you in spending that much on a car right now?

: I having been eyeing the 323i for over a year now. I am in my late twenties and honestly can't afford the car yet at this point in my life. Is their anyone out their who has purchased or leased this car with an income of less than 50k per year? I was just wondering if its common for someone of this salary to stretch and get this car or if the BMW dealer is going to look at me like I'm nuts. (Obviously he will take my money!) Anyone out their honest enough to admit to doing this? What do you guys think?
