Hamann HM2 18"or ACS type III 17"?more plz read! (archive)

hi, thanks for anything who response to my poll as what size wheel should I put on my 323ci, you guys were very helpful, however, the situation I am facing right now is that I can get Hamann HM2 18" for around $70 cheaper than the ACS type III 17", therefore, I would want to get the Hamann HM2 if the 18 does not make the ride too harsh or degrade the performance alot. what do you guys think???

if you guys can give me opinions of which one I should go for, please do, I am looking for answers to following questions:
1. eventhough the wheels might be cheaper, are the tires for 18" rims alot more expensive.
2. it was mentioned that 18" don't improve performance over 17", but would 18" be worse off than 17"?
3. wheel wise, is hamann alot worse than ACS??? do they weigh very different?
4. which one would you go for?
5. how is the ride of 18" with stock suspension?
