Now that I think about it, I'd rather have a cassette player instead of the in-dash CD if I'm going to have a CD changer. So many cassettes lying around. Might as well listen to them. Also, I'll have the dealership install the changer since you found it a pain to diy. Guess I should have thought about it when ordering the car.

Also, about the Audi/230 HP, I'll be sure to call my friend and ask about the exact configuration and cost. He probably meant $500 for just the chip, like you suggested.

: You can install a CD changer and still have the in-dash player. Although I'm kind of curious what kind of kit you need to install the player in the tail end! Doesn't seem to be a place for it, unless you replace quite a bit of the interior trim in the process.
