My rule of thumb is 6% over invoice for any car in the class as ours. That way, you get a decent deal, and so does the dealer. Most will move somewhere near this point.

This is just based upon personal and 2nd hand experiences in the luxury and sports car buying market. I've never bought or known anyone who bought a 740, so I can only venture my theory and hope it's of some use.

BTW, I paid approximately 6% over invoice for my loaded (everything but premium and sunroof)'00 328i Sport Sedan.
