That's not an easy car to sell, and there's lots of room for profit. Some people who sign for that car can't actually pay for it and the dealer starts all over again. My friend got an incredible deal on a new 1999 GS400 that way, far less than the initial dealer "offer." They played the if you don't want it I have another buyer game. When you're serious about purchasing, you're in the driver's seat.

I wouldn't be surprised if that car could be let go at invoice at the very end of the year, because it would have a fair amount of holdback built into the price.
