Tickets are divided into pools of 2500. They have a commitment from BMW that they'll get one M3 for every 2500 tickets (at $25 each, that's $62,500 per pool, so the CCA could buy a M3 at sticker and still make money). So you have a 1:2500 chance of winning. You can buy up to five of these 1:2500 chances if you so choose.

AFAIK, if they get a tremendous response, you're more likely to get the cash eqivilant. Not that that's a bad thing either...

I bought my five tickets :)

You actually have a 1 in 500 chance by buying 5 tickets...5 tries to win any of the 1 of 2500 chances. If they have an overwhelming response, they give away more cars, or at least they have in the past. Each ticket you buy goes into a separate 2500 lot group (5 groups total)...hence 5 chances to win, but a 1/500 chance overall of winning at least one. Theoretically, you could win 5 M3's (or cash equivalent). It doesn't matter anyway because I'm gonna win! I just hope they offer 5 different colors.
