If you're changing out your exhaust, at least do it from the cat back. Better yet, get a high performance header too.

1) You'll get more performance out of the upgrades if you have a 5 speed. (I have a Step., but you'll still get something.)

2) You want the exhaust to go as straight out from your exhaust manifold as possible to relieve back pressure.

3) If you can, get an intake, or at least an K & N upgrade at the same time. You want to speed up the amount of air that goes in, as well as expell exhaust.

This is a very generic explanation, but it gets the point across.

(I learned from my former rice rocket, a 98 Honda Prelude.)

couple of questions for you guys
1. normally when people talk about changing the exhaust on this board, are they talking about changing the silencer (muffler) only or the change of the silencer and the cat back?
2. if I change the muffler and the catback, would it void my warranty? how about if I only change the muffler?
3. if I only change the muffler, does it mean that there is no gain in power (just a sound difference)???

Thanks alot for any reply!
