Had to have my car towed to the dealership today. I'd asked a week or so ago if anybody'd had any problems with their automatic transmission being sluggish when it was hot. My dealer couldn't get me in until Aug 4th to look at it, guess now he's going to have to look a litte sooner.
Engine light had been coming on intermittently since Friday. Not thinking too much of it because it was running fine, I'd check the fuel cap and restart the car, on the forth restart the light would clear. After refueling the car today though, I had a heck of time starting the engine and when it finally did there was no power.
I was only three block from my house so I limped it home. Engine sounded fine, just no power, is there a "limp home" mode to these engines? After it sat waiting for the tow to show, it started fine but engine light is still on and there is no power. There's no slipping, just engine won't rev and it feels like I'm towing an anchor.
Has this been covered before? I seem to remember a few fellows having spontaneous power failures as they were driving, but I don't think they had automatics. I'
