I asked the same question... you'd assume for such an expensive car you would get an alarm...

Anyway there isnt an alarm available yet for the E46 convertible. The one sold for the E46 sedan/coupe will not work. I've been told it will be available sometime this fall.

And yes, with the alarm, if someone reaches in and unlocks the doors, the alarm will go off.


Hi,

Why is there not a factory installed alarm with the 330 CIC? Does the alarm you can buy for $220 from Pacific or Circle include detection for someone reaching in and unlocking the door? What is exactly the motion detection?
