Black looks more racy if you've got nice wheels on the car (17" or larger), and makes the car look more M3 or M5-like, unless you've got 15" wheels, in which case the black trim makes the car look stripped down.

The chrome trim looks more elegant in all situations.

Depends upon your individual style.
