No comparison. Even w/my griping about 330 steering, in every other aspect (with SP, that is) the BMW is a true sports car. Unbelievable cornering grip, acceleration, brakes, little body roll, etc. The CLK 320 (don't know about the 430) is not a sports car, it's a luxury cruiser that happens to look kinda sporty, except that I've noticed it's driven mostly by 55+ year old ladies. The one I drove had 16" wheels vs. the BMW SP 17", don't think anything bigger available from factory for the CLK 320. Acceleration/brakes on the CLK were pretty good, though nowhere near as good as the BMW. Steering -- didn't notice so much. I think it's pretty power boosted, at least as much as the 330, certainly not tighter. And CLK's body roll around corners was atrocious. It's just not a car that can be exercised in a very sporty fashion, IMO. And of course, no stick shift available for the CLK!

I think the CLK is a very good, high quality, good looking car, especially for someone 40 or older who doesn't really want a sports or driver's car, but rather a cruising car. The 430 may be much more of a sports car (but too many cylinders and too much $$$). And I'm sure some CLK drivers will disagree as to the negative aspects.
