I very much recommend the K&N Filtercharger. I've had one on every vehicle I've ever owned. I swear by them. Never heard a (substantiated, ie other than internet rumor) bad thing about them.

I love my Racing Dynamics exhaust. I went with them because:
1) i had heard very good things about RD, both from other bimmer owners, CCA members, and from local performance gurus. Especially vs. the Dinan line.
2) i like the idea of going with a single tuner for all (or most all) of my modifications. So far I've got the Racing Dynamics exhaust, pedal set (including dead pedal), rear spoiler (not yet installed but purchased), and sway bar set.
3) the exhaust was in stock with my local performance shop "AutoMotives"

I'd definatly recommend the exhaust. It's deep and throaty at idle (but not "ricey"), is not noticable at cruising speeds, but is noticable (again deep and throaty but not loud and "ricey") under heavy acceleration at high RPM.
