I've only put $500.00 down for both my 323 and X5 at different dealers... sounds like a scam. Don't put more that $500 down, and make sure when you get the receipt it says "deposit", not "partial payment" because then you'll most likely be stuck with the car on delivery!

Anyway, I'd go somewhere else...
