R4's and VX1's are similar, but quite different.

The R4 edges are sharp and the VX1's are smooth.

Both rims "stick out" from the side, but the VX1's look "fat" b/c the rim arch is thick and is deeper. This is its best feature. While the R4 arch, however, is thin, so the wheel looks "hollow" as opposed to "fat".

Upshot, VX1's look better
