Your statement is entirely accurate... I'm upgrading to 18" wheels/tires and want to keep a set of 17" (or 16" plus some cash) for winter.

Since they're going to be winter-only wheels, I figured that someone out there might want these wheels instead of whatever wheels they had... either people with 16"-ers who wanted to move to 17", or people with 17"-ers they didn't like (say, those who don't like the new M-Spoke wheels).

Since it won't cost me anything (I can ship for free, and provide return shipping for free, packing materials are re-used from other wheel/tire combos), I figured I'd see if someone wanted these in exchange for cash or in exchange for different rims.
