They have to prove that the part you bolted on was actually the cause of the problem. It will not void your warranty. Check out the provided link.

Whenever you have prob. with your car,go to your dealer with your intake or anyother aftermarket stuff and try to cover it under warrenty. You'll be amazed how they get around with it.
