I have an early production '99 323iA that had all of the window regulators replaced per the TSB. Now they've replaced all of the window and door seals... twice... and I still have some intermittent rattling.

The dealer thinks it is the seal that rubs up against the body on the top of the door (new set on order and due tomorrow).

The dealer indicated that putting silicone on the seals aggravates the problem. However, I don't apply any lubricant or cleaner to the seals and I inform the detailers not to do anyhting to the seals other than wipe them with a clean, dry towel.

Anyone with a 4-door experiencing the same problem?

FWIW, I've decided this isn't worth it. If anyone is interested in buying the car after the dealer fixes the problem, then get in touch. It is being advertised in the local AutoTrader.

Red/Black (Leatherette), AT, Premium Pkg, moonroof, foglights, rear fold-down seat with ski bag, 18x8 TSW Imola wheels (and I am supposed to have 17-inch sport package wheels coming), complete clear turn signals package (not the red/clear taillamps... I have the all clear set), I also have a complete set of Bilsteins to install. 21K miles and it comes with a 7-yr/100K bumper-to-bumper new car warranty.

i have a early productio Jun 99 323iA also, i went to three dealers to fix my prob but they couldn't fix it...IT GOT WORSE so I was thinking about Lemon law which states that BMW will trade my car in for a new one but since its been in dealers trying to get fixed for over a year now, it too late to use that law, don't know what to do any more.
