Rather than "thinking" it might be off, why don't you head out and time it on some mile markers on the interstate? Why think when you can know.

If it is off significantly low (I doubt it is - most read high), then you can get a mechanic to sign off on the error and usually get the judge to let you off. But all this takes time.
