i recently got a chip from a HUGE ass rock bouncing off my windshield while behind a truck. i wanted to know if anyone bought those windshield repair kits at some auto store and if they worked.

I had a big rock hit my windshield and brought it to a windshield repair shop. Cost about $32 to fix. Looks very good now, and it was a big shatter at first. I would not bother with the kit, just get it repaired because they will have that vacuum thing that makes it retract. Hope this helps you. The kit will not look as good, but it prabably wil keep it from spreading.
