Yes, the rain-sensing wiper is a pain in the ass. It works when it wants to. It still has the dial on the lever inside the car, and it's function is to change the sensitivity of the sensor.

God forbid you ever need to replace the windshield when you have the rain-sensor, it's way expensive.
