DSC is considered the next generation. It does everything ASC+T does, but adds a yaw sensor and steering wheel sensor (and more). These determine if the car is moving off the desired path in relation to steering wheel angle. It also watches for oversteer or understeer. If any of these are noticed, the system can brake any individual wheel to bring the car back to control (other companies call it "stability control").
Note: Neither of these systems can overcome physics. Both of these systems can be turned off via a dash switch.
I wouldn't use either on a track. I consider them a co-pilot to everyday driving.
