You are assuming that "someone else must be paying for food, rent, etc" simply because he is young. I am 22, and am paying for food, rent, AND my new 330ci entirely myself. NO help from my parents in any way, financially.

The POINT is, when someone spends all the money they have on a BMW, someone else must be paying for the food, rent, etc. I am not generalizing here, I am talking about his specific case.

Don't make assumptions that those who are young and have a bimmer must have rich parents. My mother personally drivers an older Honda Civic, and would never consider buying a bimmer.

However, I imagine when I buy her one, she'll gladly accept.

When I was your age, I was working at a restaurant as a bus boy earning minimum wage. I didn't even have enough to get credit for leasing a computer which I needed for my school work. I don't have rich parents to buy me a fancy car. They couldn't even buy one for themselves.

That is why I felt so good when I recently got my new 330i. I had the money to pay cash for it and I did it on my own. BTW, I am 28 and I graduated 5 years ago. Keep it real, man. Don't be a poser.
