(I'm leaving this week to get the car....will have only 1 day of driving around. This itinerary is a combination of rather using my vacation time for other pursuits, icy/snowy roads in Munich not being ideal for break-in, ditto for having to keep the car under 4500rpm so the Autobahn is not as appealing....)
EuroDelivery gets you 7% off the top -- i.e., before negotiating with the dealer -- because EuroMSRP is 7% lower than US MSRP.
More $$ -- dealers are more willing to negotiate $$ over invoice for ED cars since they do not come out of their allocation (for 330 coupes at least)....to get the same car at the same dealership would have been $500 off MSRP....instead I got $2000 over EuroInvoice. Others have gotten $1500 above invoice, so this is not an aberration.
As far as how much it will cost to travel to Munich -- I'm doing mine for less than $700....aifare through priceline for $420, hotels at $50 night...throw in $50-75 for taxis, etc....
Not to mention that you can save a grip by getting parts at parts @ Munich BMW dealership...I'm going to buy approx $800 worth of stuff there that would cost me $1000 here from the cheapest online vendor here in the US.
It is possible to lease a ED car...I am doing exactly that. One thing to consider is that you have to make two (or one, if your dealer is cool) extra payments as the lease starts a month before your car...so by the time you get the car back in the US, you will have already made 2 payments.
I could get your car for $39,586K. You got yours for 36K. The that's less than what you can get for US invoice.
Is it that much cheaper to take euro delivery?
Isn't it true you can't lease a euro delivery car?
so adding in plane tickets roundtrip from seattle... let's say $1,000 and then hotel for a few nights.... $250
total....give or take a little.... $37,800... still a lot less than buying it here. is this what you figure? What are some of the requirements of euro delivery?
