a letter from BMW with the ship name after about a week or so the car is loaded on the ship.

Another way of finding out is call the EH Harms office that you dropped your car off and ask them..They will probably refer you to the Bremen office and those folks can verify which ship your car is on.

Some people have also received letters directly from EH Harms about the status.

I dropped off my 530i on Nov 13 but did not get shipped untill 11/27 since my port of entry changed from New Jersey to Port Hueneme. No letter yet, but I expect it this week and the ship (TRICOLOR) to dock on 12/24
