So I used meguiars paint cleaner, and high-tech yellow wax on my blk/blk 330i last week. Looked great, swirls marks were hard to find. I washed my car today and where the swirls marks were apparent, on the trunk lid and hood, they are back again in full force. Anyone got any remedy for this? Will this always happen the first wash after I get rid of these creatures? Should I have used that 3M hand glaze instead of the meguiar paint cleaner? I know there are more important things in the world to worry about then swirl marks, but this makes me depressed.

Blk is hard to keep looking new. A coulpe of sites you might want to look at are Zaino Brothers. Sal has a very detailed web page on car care using his products and they work. LS1.com has a detail section you can ask questions on. Most car people will say to use only 100% cotton towels made by Fieldcrest by the name of Royal Velvet these can be purchased on their web site fieldcrestcannonoutlet.com. As you found out wax just hides the swirls and any minor scratches once you wash the car some of the wax is removed and the imperfections can then be seen.
