I was curious, I have placed an order for a 330ci. Since I have not paid for the car yet, and I have not talked to the dealer about finalizing the purchase, I was curious, do dealers actually offer an extended warrentee to the buyer? I know that BMW offers a 4 year to extend the factory 3 year. Beyond that, do the BMW dealers, particularly Peter Pan, try to offer a buyer more warrentees? I don't know, this is my first BMW.
I've always felt these to be money making ventures to dealers. I feel with a car like this, it's not going to be falling apart too soon. But I understand that some feel it is insurance against something going wrong after year 4. My current car didn't need any service till 6 years and 65,000 miles later and it was for leaking air conditioning seals and a worn bushing on the steering rack mounting. Thanks, Nelson
