There isn't any "tape" that will significantly change your car's radar profile. You can get rid of the front license plate and put covers over your headlights so that you reflect a little less energy back, but most folks rely on early detection.

Laser defense can profit from anything that reduces the amount of reflective light back to the laser gun. Black cars are better, covering your license plate with something, etc.

In both cases, these measures often attract unwanted attention which defeats the purpose. The best you can do is get a V1, learn how to use it, and develop a sixth sense for bad situations. Even so, you're playing Russian roulette if you speed regularly, especially in town.

I speed, but very selectively in open two-lanes in the boondocks. Now that I have kids, I don't see much sense in roaring down residential streets doing 50 in a 25 anyway. I get a ticket about once/five years and sometimes pay a lawyer to get rid of it so my record stays clean.

No easy solutions.
